Five cases of hantavirus have been confirmed, according to the World Health Organisation.

The ship is to dock in the Canary Islands, despite the president of the Canary Islands saying he was not properly consulted with.

Passengers on board the MV Hondius can expect to disembark the ship on Monday, and will be quarantined on their arrival.

The small port of Granadilla in the southwest of Tenerife has been selected but according to the port authority, full permission to dock has not yet been granted.
