22,000 people in California have been told to leave their homes immediately, as wildfires approach Lake Tahoe.
Emergency services have been going door-to-door checking people have left the area, which is popular with tourists.
16 intensive care patients had to be moved from the region's main hospital.
Over 15,000 firefighters are battling dozens of blazes across California.
