It comes as more new libraries are planned for the county
100 years of Kildare Library Service is being celebrated, marking a century of learning, community and innovation across County Kildare.
The service currently includes 15 libraries across the county.
There are new developments planned in the county, with the turning of the sod taking place tomorrow (14th of April) in Clane to prepare for a new library.
The sod will be turned by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Gerry Buttimer.
As well as this, a state-of-the-art library, County Archives and Local History Centre is planned for Newbridge, creating a regional hub for learning, culture and heritage.
