12 new probationer Gardaí have been allocated to stations in Kildare following today's attestation ceremony at the Garda College in Templemore.
Nine of the new Gardaí will be assigned to Leixlip and three to Naas, as part of an overall allocation of 19 probationer Gardaí to the Kildare/Carlow Division.
In total, 206 new Gardaí attested today, 142 men and 64 women, in one of the largest intakes in recent years.
The allocation of probationer Gardaí across divisions will also allow for consequential transfers to other divisions nationwide.
