80 vacant properties require major refurbishing, while 49 properties are in need of minor works

129 vacant local authority properties around the county require major refurbishment or minor works, according to Kildare County Council.

In its monthly report, the Council says it has completed works on 7 vacant houses in the last four weeks, however 15 more have been added to the list within that time.

The total number of dwellings in the Council's housing stock is 6,228.
