A million euro in funding is to be made available for Men's Sheds across the country.
The announcement was made by Rural and Community Development Minister Heather Humphreys at a men's shed national conference in County Cavan today.
Under the initiative, grants of up to €3,000 will be provided to Men’s Sheds across the country.
The funding is designed to assist Men’s Sheds with their running costs such as their heating, electricity utility and insurance bills.
The Kildare Sheds to benefit are as follows: Leixlip, Na Fianna, Johnstownbridge, Maynooth, Monasterevin, Kilcock, Newbridge, Kildare Town, Clane, Naas, Athy, Celbridge, Confey, Cooleragh, Rathangan and Kill District.
