A 23-year-old man accused of stabbing a Garda in Dublin over the summer is now facing five new charges.

Abdullah Khan, with an address in North Dublin, appeared before Cloverhill District Court today for his fifth hearing since being charged with assault causing harm to a Garda, and the production of a knife capable of causing serious injury.
The alleged incident happened on Capel Street in Dublin City on the 29th of July, and the accused was arrested at the scene.
Today, he faced five new charges - endangerment of life and attempted assault of a second Garda, criminal damage in connection with a fire at the Black Forge Inn, on the Drimnagh Road in Walkinstown on July 25th and engaging in terrorist activity or terrorist linked activity in both incidents.
The court was told he made no reply when charged.
The DPP has directed Mr Khan will be tried in the non-jury Special Criminal Court.
There was no application for bail and he has yet to indicate a plea.
He's been remanded in custody to appear in court again in a week.
