A status yellow rain warning is now in effect for Kildare, Carlow Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow and Roscommon.
It came into effect from 4am and lasts for 24 hours.
A status orange rain warning for Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford also came into effect at 4am, also lasting for 24 hours.
Met Eireann says there's a possibility of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
