It was known as Operation IOMPAR, an initiative aimed at enhancing roads policing enforcement through the strategic deployment of HGV units.
This operation focused on enforcement along dual carriageways and motorway networks between N7 M7 J5 & J12.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Garda Sarah O' Sullivan said that the key objective was to protect vulnerable road users and reduce fatal and serious collisions.
The operation found 25 motorists detected using a mobile phone, including six HGV Drivers.
12 motorists were detected not wearing a seat belt, seven of those were HGV Drivers
Five vehicles were detected driving with no tax.
All drivers received Fixed Charge Penalty Notices (FCPNs) and penalty points as a result of the offences.
