A car in Kilcock has been "completely written off" following a collision with a HGV in Kilcock recently.
According to a local councillor, School Street has been the site of many road traffic incidents and property damage.
There have been calls for installations of signage at the entrance to the street in light of recent incidents.
KCC has said they will review potential for signage at this location, with an engineer set to meet with Councillor Paul Ward on site to determine
appropriate action required.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Fianna Fáil Councillor for Clane-Maynooth MD Paul Ward said it's a serious issue:
"It's a serious issue, there's been a number of accidents on the street, with a number of trucks who aren't familiar with the area, who turn into the square in Kilcock.
"It's led to collisions and property damage, we're not talking about little scrapes, one such photo was off a car that was written off, a HGV went down and side swiped the car and it was completely written off.
Cllr Ward concluded that KCC have acknowledged that this is a road safety and property issue, hoping a meeting with an MD engineer can happen as soon as possible.
