Over 600 patients are on trolley across the country
Some 27 patients are on trolleys in Naas General Hospital.
606 admitted patients are waiting for beds, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.
472 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 134 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
There are 15 children on trolleys today.
Naas Hospital is warning that the Emergency Department (ED) continues to be under significant pressure with many patients requiring admission.
Where possible management at Naas General Hospital are asking patients with non-emergency conditions to seek assistance from other parts of the health service such as their local Pharmacist, GP, GP out of hours service, or a local injury unit.
Unfortunately, patients who are presenting at the ED in Naas General Hospital with non-urgent conditions are experiencing very long waiting times to be seen.
Any patient who needs emergency hospital care will be seen and Naas General Hospital would urge such patients not to delay attending the ED.
