3 Roads In Co. Kildare Will Close For 4 Day Periods Today Until 30th Of May

The roads will close for 4-day periods

3 roads in the county will close for an 8-week period - 4 days at a time - to facilitate the maintenance of the road network.

The L2030 in Newbridge/Naas is one of the roads to close from today, until Monday, the 30th of May.

The road from the junction, L2031 Floods Cross to the L6065 Red Lane, will close for 4 day periods at any one time.

Alternative routes have been flagged by Kildare County Council:

Westbound traffic shall be redirected at Floods Cross onto the L2031 and directed to the R445 towards Newbridge. Traffic will then be redirected onto the L6065 Red Lane to finish at the junction for the L2030.

Southbound traffic shall be redirected to the L6065 Red Lane and directed onto the R445 towards Naas. Traffic will then be redirected to the L2031 at Ladytown Cross to finish at the L2030 Floods Cross.

The L2006 will also close.

The junction from L2030 Floods Cross to the R409 Halverstown Crossroad, will also remain closed for 4 day periods during the works.

Kildare County Council have noted alternative routes:

Northbound traffic shall be directed along the L2030 at Floods Cross towards Naas and redirected at Bundle of Sticks Roundabout to the R445 into Naas. Traffic will then be directed onto the L3012 and then be redirected to the R409 at the Caragh Road Roundabout. Traffic will then finish at the L2006 Halverstown Cross.

Southbound traffic will be redirected at Halverstown Cross to the R409 towards Naas and directed to the L3012 into Naas. Traffic will then be directed to the R445 and redirected at the Bundle of Sticks Roundabout to the L2030 to finish at the L2006 Floods Cross.

An additional area of the L2006 will close, from the junction R409 Halverstown Cross to the L2006 Osberstown - also for 4 day periods.

Northbound traffic shall be redirected at Halverstown Cross to the R409 towards Naas and directed to the L3012 at the Millennium Link Roundabout towards Monread. Traffic will be directed onto the R407 at the Sallins Road Roundabout. Traffic will then be redirected to the L2006 and finish at Osberstown.

Southbound traffic shall be redirected at Osberstown towards Sallins and directed to the R407 into Naas. Traffic will be directed to the L3012 at Sallins Road Roundabout. Traffic will be directed towards the Millennium Link Roundabout and redirected to the R409 Caragh Road to finish at the L2006 Halverstown Cross.

The council notes all diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, with emergency access & restricted local access to be maintained.
