This year's Culture Night is set to be the biggest yet, taking place tonight (18 September).
Almost 2,000 events are planned across the country, for a celebration of culture, creativity and the arts, promoting the rich cultural life that exists in communities across Ireland.
70 events are planned across Kildare, all free of charge.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Culture Night co-ordinator for Kildare at Kildare County Council Library and Arts Service Sheena Malone said there's something for everybody:
"There definitely is something for everyone and the most important thing about Culture Night is that the events are all free of charge and accessible to everyone as much as possible."
She added that the events can "act as little tasters for aspects of culture that you mightn't have tried before, and can get a taste for an aspect of culture and come back and try it again".
This year’s programme will showcase a diversity of arts and culture in Kildare with events that foster openness; value equality, inclusion, accessibility and diversity.
