79 Deaths Of Homeless People Recorded In Dublin, Alone, In 2020.

Information on deaths of homeless people throughout Ireland is not available.

79 people who were homeless died in Dublin last year.

That's according to a report compiled by Dr Austin O’Carroll, which notes a 60% increase on deaths in 2019

The ‘Interim Report on Mortality in Single Homeless Population’ is not finalisation until all inquest are completed.

The report only covers the deaths of homeless people in Dublin - no data on all deaths of people in homelessness in Ireland is centrally collected.

Anthony Flynn is a Dublin City Councillor and CEO of Inner City Helping Homeless.

He joined Clem Ryan on Friday's edition of Kildare Today.
