Parents in Kilcock have complained about the lack of an amenity space for their children in a new housing developement in the area.
Bawnogue Park, located on the outskirts of the town, still has no amenity space for young people who live there.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Fine Gael Councillor Tim Durkan said he has received "a lot of complaints" about the issue:
"I've received a lot of complaints from people who have purchased homes in that development, the amenity space is not complete, there's nowhere for their kids to play."
Cllr Durkan also said that weather had been a reason for delays earlier in the year:
"We had constant rain and they couldn't landscape the open areas, they've a couple of footpaths to put in and once that happens they'll be landscaping the greenery, and that will give the children in the estate somewhere to play."
Kildare County Council have said that they are in contact with the developer and with a view to speeding up it's delivery.
