It's understood Mr. Knott may have been dead for a number of days before his body was found.
A man has been convicted of the murder of Shane Knott, who was found dead in the garden of a home in Eustace Demesne in Naas between April 3rd and 14th last year.
Padraig Delaney (44), from 6,The Lane, Eustace Demesne, Naas was found guilty at a court sitting in Tullamore.
Gardaí had reportedly been alerted to the scene last year by someone who said a relative of theirs had claimed to have killed someone.
It's understood Mr. Knott may have been dead for a number of days before his body was found.
The case has been adjourned until May 12th.
