3 stations in the county were shut in 2012 and 2013.

9 years after its closure, a use has yet to be found for Ballitore Garda Station.

It, and stations in Kill and Ballymore Eustace, were among over 100 closed by government in 2012 and 2013.

The Dept. of Public Expenditure and Reform, responding to Kildare South Sinn Fein TD, Patricia Ryan, says the building in Kill has been "Retained for alternative State use by County Kildare LEADER Partnership under Licence"

While the Ballymore Eustace premises is idle, as the "Lease on property was surrendered"

There is no identified use for the building in Ballitore, as its "Future use under consideration by Kildare County Council"
