The Council says the works will require the N7 to be closed at times, which will be announced as needed.
South Dublin County Council has announced a series of works for the N7 footbridge at Tay Lane in Rathcoole.
The maintenance will begin next Monday, when ramps will be removed, with a diversion to be put in place for wheelchair users.
Engineers will remove the rest of the bridge on June 26th and another route will be signposted.
