Extremely high demand on the network has led to water levels in the Allenwood Reservoir falling to critically low levels over the last week
Uisce Éireann is advising customers supplied by the Allenwood Reservoir that low levels may impact water supplies to customers from this evening.
Areas impacted will include Coill Dubh, Prosperous, Derrinturn, Kilmeage, Robertstown, Allenwood and surrounding areas. Bottled water is being made available for vulnerable customers.
Extremely high demand on the network has led to water levels in the Allenwood Reservoir falling to critically low levels over the last week.
As a result, operations at the plant will be halted this evening to allow for levels to replenish.
Water production is expected to resume from approximately 6am tomorrow morning.
Alternative Water Supply (AWS) will be provided at the following locations from approximately 7am tomorrow morning until 9pm tomorrow night at the following locations:
- Prosperous National School, Curryhill, Naas (parking bays along front of school)
- Aylmere Court, Kilmeage (near the Old Dispensary)
- R403 Allenwood, (parking bays adjacent to 120 / 120X Bus Stop)
- Former Grand Canal Hotel, Robertstown, (large gravelled area to the east of the hotel)
- St Conleth’s National School, Derrinturn, (parking bays along front of school)
- The Village Arch Café, Coill Dubh, (close to the archway)
