139 schools across Kildare are benefiting from the scheme this year
Almost 51,000 young people in County Kildare will benefit from the Government’s Free Schoolbooks Scheme
Total funding of €8,418,937 has been allocated to schools in Kildare under the scheme.
This includes €6,081,737 for post-primary schools and €2,337,200 for primary schools.
In total, 139 schools across Kildare are benefiting from the scheme this year, including 32 post-primary schools and 107 primary schools, supporting students in communities right across the county.
The Minister for Education and Youth Hildegarde Naughton made the announcement today.
