The funding is coming through the Digital Strategy for Schools 2027.
Almost €2.5m euro in funding will be shared between 134 schools throughout Kildare, through the Digital Strategy for Schools 2027.
The payment of €50 million in grant funding for digital technology infrastructure will be provided recognised primary and post-primary schools across the country.
Fianna Fáil education spokesperson, Kildare Senator Fiona O’Loughlin commented: "We live in technology-based world and our students need to be equipped with the relevant skills within our education system to excel.
“The digital strategy is designed to assist our schools to embed digital technology across teaching and learning, and to support the development of students in a holistic way.
“I am pleased to see just under €2.5 million being allocated to Kildare in ICT grants to assist 105 primary and 39 post primary schools to assist them on their technology journey.
“Covid highlighted the important role that technology plays within our education system, but also it highlighted some gaps in terms of resources and I am confident this funding will help combat that," she added.
