Concerns have been raised over dumping at Grey Abbey Cemetery in Kildare Town.

Photos show tents, rubbish and empty cans left among graves, with one tent placed directly on top of an old gravestone.

He said it is "disrespectful to the dead" and distressing for families visiting loved ones’ graves.

The images show discarded bags and litter spread through overgrown areas of the cemetery, close to burial plots.
Grey Abbey Cemetery also includes a Republican plot.
Questions are now being asked about responsibility for removing the dumped material and preventing further incidents.
Kfm News has contacted Kildare County Council for comment.
