Speaking exclusively to Kfm news, she said that she has had no meeting in relation to housing for certain individuals.
Fianna Fáil Councillor for Athy MD Veralouise Behan has branded recent claims that she had called for future houses to be made to suit Muslim individuals, to suit their way of life as "completely false".
Those who posted the content alleged that someone who attended a meeting, had contacted them about comments they say Cllr Behan made.
Speaking on Kildare Today, she said that she has had no such meeting in relation to housing for certain individuals.
"It was just false information, completely fabricated and completely false."
"I am working with a gentlemen and his child on a housing issue with regard to structural noise, that's the only housing issue [I'm working on], and it has nothing to do with this."
Cllr Behan said that someone had sent her a screenshot of the social media post and she said it had been up for 21 hours before it was removed.
She also said that she reported it to Facebook, adding that the post was "completely off the wall" in comparison to her usual work, with concerns also raised that many social media users seemed to believe the allegations, according to the comment sections.
