Celebrating its 15th year, the Athy Film Club is hosting its first ever film festival this weekend.
Members of the club have come together to mark the occasion, with the event that spans over three days.
The film festival will run from the 17th to the 19th of January, at the Athy Community College.
It is also hosting its opening night tonight, which will include a red carpet, prosecco and paparazzi.
Ten films will be shown throughout the weekend, ranging in genres such as comedies, thrillers and romance, as well as children's movies.
Screenings will be at 4.30pm, 7pm and 9pm throughout the course of the festival.
Four short films will also be shown on Saturday, made by Kilcullen and Dublin teenagers, followed by a Q&A.
