Kildare County Council has signed a contract with Suirside Construction Ltd. to lead the construction of a new social housing project in Athy.
It is expected to be completed this year.
The Barrack Close project, located on Woodstock Street, will include the construction of five new social housing units and the refurbishment of Glandore House to bring it back into use.
