A man who sexually abused his two cousins while babysitting them on various dates over a seven-year period in the late 1980s and early 1990s has been jailed for nine years.
55-year-old Edward McGregor, of Weavers Square, Baltinglass, was prosecuted after one of the survivors told her husband about the abuse in 2019.
The abuse took place when the sisters were aged between six and thirteen years old.
Sisters Frances McGregor and Caitriona Carr waived waive their right to anonymity so he could be named.
McGregor initially denied all the allegations, but eventually pleaded guilty to fifteen offences in November last year.
