Both Edenderry Gardaí Released From Hospital As Local Station Remains Closed

An Garda Síochána continues to provide welfare support to the members and their families.

Both Gardaí who were hospitalised following processing of seized cannabis vape products in Edenderry Garda Station have now been released.

An Garda Síochána said it's continuing to make enquiries into the circumstances of the incident, as well as providing welfare support to the members and their families.

Edenderry Garda Station remains closed today for specialist deep cleaning.

The exact cause of the incident is still under investigation, but it’s understood THC oil may have leaked from some of the damaged devices.
