Monthly rents are set at €1,341 for two-bed houses, €1,490 for three-bed houses, and €1,639 for four-bed houses.
Applications for new Cost Rental houses at Páirc Na Manach in Newbridge will open in September.
The initial phase will offer 11 new, A-rated homes, including four two-bed houses, five three-bed houses, and two four-bed houses.
Monthly rents are set at €1,341 for two-bed houses, €1,490 for three-bed houses, and €1,639 for four-bed houses, representing a 25% discount on current market rates.
The new residents will benefit from secure, lifelong tenancies and affordable living costs.
These homes are part of the broader Páirc Na Manach development, conveniently located within walking distance of Newbridge town centre and with access to public transport and the M7.
Cost Rental Housing is a new model in Ireland designed to provide affordable rental options for those who do not qualify for social housing but struggle with market rents.
Rents are set to cover construction, maintenance, and operational costs, remaining at least 25% below local market rates.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Have a net household income below €59,000 per year
- Not receive social housing supports such as HAP or Rent Supplement
- Afford the rent
- Not own a property
- Have a household size that matches the home
Clúid Housing will manage the homes.
John Cotterell, Head of Housing Management at Clúid, said the homes will provide stability for residents.
The homes will be listed on Daft and Clúid’s website and social media.
Applications will be open for one week, with a lottery system used to allocate the homes.
Successful applicants will have three days to submit supporting documents, with the first residents expected to move in by autumn.
