According to Met Éireann’s short and long-term forecasts, the recent bright and sunny weather is expected to usher in an early and pleasant stretch of warm conditions.
The forecaster's outlook for the upcoming week, as well as its seasonal outlook for April, May, and June, all suggest that summer has arrived ahead of schedule and will likely remain for the foreseeable future.
Met Éireann predicts that today and tomorrow will feature extended periods of sunshine and spring-like weather, with temperatures reaching 17°C in parts of Kildare.
By Friday, temperatures could climb as high as 18°C.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the forecast is for more settled, dry, and bright weather.
