Gardaí are reminding people to lock up their homes.
Gardaí in Kildare are warning people that there has been a noticeable increase in the number burglaries across the county in the last week.
On Saturday the 26th of March three burglaries took place across the county and all of the culprits gained access through opened windows.
The first burglary took place in Donadea, in a rural area, between the hours of 9am and 6pm, the intruder gained access through an open window.
The second robbery happened in an urban area, in Meadow Brook Estate in Maynooth, between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
The intruder gained access to the house through an open window at the side of the house.
The third burglary took place in BallyKelly, Monasterevin between the hours of 1pm and 3pm, and again the culprit gained access through an open window at the back of house.
Gardaí are appealing to people to lock up their house before they leave, even if it is for a short time, and to close all windows.
