The bus serves people from Sallins through to Newbridge
The 821 bus that serves people from Sallins through to Newbridge will have more bus poles installed for some of the stops this month.
These bus stop poles have been highlighted as very important, given that a bus stop also shows a timetable of the route, stops and times, making it clearer to people who would like to use the service.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Fine Gael Councillor for Clane-Maynooth MD Brendan Wyse gave this update that he received from Kildare County Council in relation to those bus stops:
"The reply I got is that they'd be fitted this month, and I see poles up in Allenwood, Allen and I presume in Prosperous and Robertstown at this stage."
"We've been waiting for these ones for a while, it's a relatively new bus route."
"The route is almost complete at this stage, after that it's just about fine tuning it and adding a few more stops and times as it gets more popular."
He expressed his delight at the news, adding that the road markings had also been completed, as the route nears it completion, two years after it's introduction.
