Car Window Smashed In Broad Daylight Theft In Newbridge

The car’s owner said she has parked in the same location for years and never encountered any problems until today.

A car has been broken into in broad daylight in Newbridge today, in what eyewitnesses have described as a "shocking" incident.

The culprit smashed the front passenger-side window before fleeing the scene.

Kfm understands the owner of the vehicle had left her work bag on the floor inside the car at the time.

An eyewitness said she immediately contacted Gardai to report what had happened.

The owner of the car said she has parked in the same location for years and never encountered any problems until today.

The incident has caused concern locally, given that it took place during the middle of the day in a busy part of the town close to a major retail store.

Kfm has contacted Gardai for comment.
