Motorists are being advised to approach the bridge slowly and with caution.

An overnight incident has caused significant damage to Carnalway Bridge.

Kildare County Council and Kilcullen gardai have both been informed.

The Council will make safe the location but motorists are being advised to approach the bridge slowly and with caution.
