The lands were crucial to the club's expansion and development
Castledermot GAA have not been successful in securing lands for their club.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Senator Mark Wall said in the end, the club lost out at the auction on Wednesday to a phone bidder.
Castledermot GAA were hoping to purchase 15 acres of prime land across from their club.
It's a small club in South Kildare with an equally small pitch and grounds. Fielding 29 teams from under 6 to senior, its current set up is not fit for the growing club.
The land in question was understood to be in receivership and was sold at auction on Wednesday.
