
ESB working to repair power outages in Newbridge, Athy and Allenwood.
A clean up operation has been launched in Kildare and across the country after Storm Bessy swept across the Ireland overnight.
Over 12,000 homes and businesses lost power, with the east and south-east the most affected areas.
There is a major outage in Newbridge.
The ESB is also working to repair faults near Athy, Kilcullen and Allenwood.
Crews have been mobilised to restore power as quickly as possible, and the majority of outages are expected to be repaired by 4pm.
