His appointment took place during the July meeting of the Naas Municipal District.
This is Cllr. Moore's 5th time to hold the Mayoralty.
Fine Gael Cllr., Evie Sammon, has been named Deputy Mayor.
They will both serve 1 year terms of office.
Mayor Moore joined Clem Ryan on Wednesday's edition of Kildare Today, to reflect on his four previous terms as Mayor, and look ahead to the coming 12 months.
