A new report says many people living in social houses don't have sufficient income to live comfortably.

A study by Cluid Housing Association and the Housing Finance Agency shows one in 8 households in social housing do not have a bank account

37% of residents show signs of "weak financial inclusion" , and 20% of respondents had a problem level of debt

Kath Cottier is Director of Housing Services at Cluid Housing Associarion.

She's been speaking to Kildare Today and says half of respondents have had to access credit through money lenders.
