Colonel Johnny Whittaker Appointed Deputy Chief Of Staff Of The Defence Forces

The appointment was recommended by Defence Minister Helen McEntee and accepted by the Government today.

A new Deputy Chief of Staff has been appointed to the Defence Forces.

Colonel Johnny Whittaker will take on the role, having served as Director of Training and Education since July 2024.

The appointment was recommended by Defence Minister Helen McEntee and accepted by the Government today.

Minister McEntee is congratulating Colonel Whittaker, and says she looks forward to working closely with him.
