Community Groups And Schools To Regain Limited Access To Curragh Swimming Pool

The pool, which is primarily used by the Defence Forces, will be made available to local community groups and schools for three days each week.

The Curragh Swimming Pool is set to partially reopen to civilian users, following the recruitment of additional staff.

The pool, which is primarily used by the Defence Forces, will be made available to local community groups and schools for three days each week.

There is capacity to open the pool in the coming weeks for 2 hours per day, 3 days per week.
 
Timings:
  • Tuesday: 9.15am–10.15am and 10.15am–11.15am

  • Wednesday: 9.15am–10.15am and 10.15am–11.15am

  • Thursday: 9.15am–10.15am and 10.15am–11.15am

While welcoming the move as an important first step after years of restricted access, local representatives are still calling for a dedicated public swimming pool for the Newbridge-Kildare area.
