A Go Fund Me page has been set up, with the aim of raising €25,000, with the community needing to fund at least 10% of the cost through our own fund raising efforts.
The project is estimated to cost €550,000 in total, with the majority of this funding will come from Kildare County Council, Leader and other community funding organisations.
Planning permission and a lease are in place, and the development is now underway.
According to their Go Fund Me page, it has taken "17 years of determination, setbacks and perseverance" to make the idea a reality.
