Naas General Hospital has reintroduced Hospital Watch to address and prevent crime within its premises.
Similar to a Neighbourhood Watch for residential areas, Hospital Watch is a collaboration between An Garda Síochána, the HSE, hospital staff, patients, and visitors, with the goal of maintaining a safe environment.

He highlighted the hospital's role as a community, with over 1,000 staff members, patients, and daily visitors.
Garda Liaison Officer, Deirdre Davoren, said the programme aims to prevent crime, alleviate the fear of crime, and promote awareness among hospital staff and service users.
