A speed review is underway for the road
Concerns have been raised about a road near Kilcullen which has recorded it's third accident in a few months.
Fine Gael Councillor for Newbridge MD Tracey O'Dwyer said that the Kinneagh cross is "notorious for its blind approach".
She said it's particularly dangerous for drivers pulling out or approaching from the Newbridge side.
"I’ve been consistently raising this junction with the Council, and while it is now on the list for upgrade works,I would hope the works can start as soon as possible."
"The speed review is also currently underway and if possible, I will be looking for the speed to be reduced at the approach to this junction."
She concluded that she shared the frustrations of local people, and will ask the council if there are any suitable interim measures that can be carried out while the junction upgrade works are being awaited.
