Concerns have been raised around capacity on the 120 bus from Edenderry/Newbridge to Prosperous and Dublin.
It comes as the bus was recently at full capacity and turned away those waiting at the St Wolstan's stop in Celbridge, with a woman due to attend an appointment having to pay for a taxi due to no other available transport being available for an hour.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Social Democrats Councillor for Celbridge-Leixlip municipal district Claire O Rourke said that it has been an issue for a number of years.
"I remember about four few years ago, there was a lady waiting for the 120 and the previous one hadn't come, she was waiting on the next one to make a hospital appointment, and the next one didn't come."
Kildare County Council have said that they will write to the relevant bodies in relation to the issues with the bus route.
