Concerns have been raised about the future of the 736 Waterford to Dublin bus which travels through Castledermot.
It comes as Kfm News were contacted by a listener who said a bus driver of a 736 bus had told him that the service was being ceased from Castledermot.
Kfm News contacted the National Transport Authority and JJ Kavanagh bus company regarding the 736 bus route.
JJ Kavanagh initially said that they are "still operating our services from Tramore to Dublin Airport, which include Castledermot."
In a later email, JJ Kavanagh stated that "proposed changes to the route and licence have been temporarily delayed, with no timeline in place for when they are likely to change".
When asked for clarification, they said that they have "explained as much as we can at this time" and that "further information will be available on [the] website in due course".
Speaking on Kildare Today, Ben Griffin said a bus driver had told him "you won't be using this for much longer", while he was on the bus.
He added that the bus driver told him that it will be ceasing service to Castledermot, alleging that the NTA are imposing restrictions on JJ Kavanagh to ensure they withdraw the service.
Mr Griffin also expressed concerns about the time it would take for alternative public transport to reach Dublin, with the 880 leaving Castledermot at 7.15am and travelling through Naas.
"It could be 10 o' clock or 10.30am by the time [you get to Dublin]. If you were depending on that link to get you home, you'd have to be leaving Dublin at 4 o' clock."
