Construction was originally supposed to begin in May
It has been confirmed that two bus shelters have begun construction in the Maddenstown area of the Curragh.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Independent Councillor Pat Balfe said he was "happy to say that the construction of the two bus shelters has begun and hopefully will be completed soon".
Cllr Balfe had previously asked the council about the timelines for the bus stop, emphasising the importance of it for the elderly and the general population in the area.
