Over 900,000 people are on hospital waiting lists across Ireland.
The Irish Hospital Consultants Association says Budget 2022 must tackle spiraling hospital waiting lists.
Over 900,000 people are on waiting lists for inpatient, outpatient or GI endoscopy appointments across Ireland.
Almost 10,000 of those patients are on various lists at Naas General.
The IHCA says this situation is exacerbated by the fact 1 in 4 consultant posts are vacant.
At the current capacity and pace of treatment, the association estimates it would take 14 years to work through the lists.
IHCA Secretary General, Martin Varley, joined Clem Ryan on Friday's edition of Kildare Today.
Budget 2022 must prioritise addressing long term hospital capacity deficits if we are to get control of spiralling waiting lists, now over 900k
