It follows a question from a councillor at a recent municipal district meeting
Kildare County Council have detailed all current renewable energy infrastructure in the Clane-Maynooth area.
It comes as a local councillor asked the council to provide an overview of all renewable energy infrastructure in the municipal district at a recent meeting.
The council outlined 15 different locations which were either granted or refused planning permission, with 13 solar applications and two wind related applications:




Most applications have been granted, but three separate Cadamstown applications were refused by Kildare County Council, and undergoing an appeals process, with one being initially granted by An Bord Pleanala.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Fine Gael Councillor for Clane-Maynooth William Durkan spoke about the response from the council:
"The full report that came back identified over 1,800 acres of terrestrial solar, which is a very big change for our municipal district."
