A local councillor is requesting for Kildare County Council to write to the Infrastructure Minister to ask for funding to be allocated for a bus link in Ardclough.
It comes as the council had previously written to the NTA in April asking for a transport route in the area.
The NTA had said that they had included Ardclough in their plans, but that funding was flagged as an issue.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Fine Gael Councillor for Celbridge-Leixlip MD Declan Ryan said that a bus link is needed in the area:
"They have no bus link whatsoever, we want to get a bus link from Ardclough to Celbridge, Leixlip, Maynooth and surrounding areas."
In response, KCC said that it is a matter for members to discuss.
