A councillor is calling for equality between Municipal Districts in expenditure on works to beautify public places.
Public realm works have taken place on late in Naas, Newbridge, Kildare Town, and are proposed in areas including Rathangan and Maynooth.
Public consultations are underway on town renewal plans in Leixlip and Athgarvan.
Fine Gael Cllr., Joe Neville says that "The current Public Realm plan in the Capital Budget lacks balance"
He says, if "Public Realm is to be a key driver of funding, we need to ensure we have a countywide approach in its focus."
The councillor wants Kildare County Council to ensure "that the Public Realm team sets out equal projects by municipal district in the Capital Budget."
His motion will be debated before today's monthly meeting of the local authority.
