It comes as some felt more projects could've been considered
Speaking on Kildare Today, Social Democrats Councillor for Kildare-Newbridge Chris Pender said that they had "no input wahtsoever".
"We had no input into it whatsoever and it's concerning because in many ways councillors are the one on the ground that see the projects that people want delivered."
He also referenced potential projects for a swimming pool as well as housing in the town.
Cllr Pender accepted that even though the council don't have to consult them, he said "it would be nice to work with the executive and the council".
